Quest was born in Canada on August 9, 2007.

Quest is a long coated black sable male German Shepherd Dog. He is affiliated with El Dorado County Search & Rescue as well as California Rescue Dog Association as a Trailing Dog.

Watch for Quest with his handler Ruth Pietrowski at the County Fair, National Night Out, parades and Hug a Tree presentations teaching wilderness safety throughout your community.

Quest says “If you get lost stay in one place, stay warm and dry. To help searchers find you blow your whistle, make yourself big, hang bright things. Searchers will be looking for you. Hug a tree – wait for me!! WOOF!!”
